CEO & Director of Market Research
Martha DeLong combines 20 years of expertise in market and opinion research with almost a decade of experience in creating innovative communications solutions as a public relations executive. Her combination of expertise in research and communications means the research she directs finds the answers to her clients' questions and her clients don't have to sift through dry or confusing research dissertations to find the answers they need.
She is known for the development of insightful focus groups and for a range of qualitative and quantitative research services, including segmentation research for high technology market leaders and political polling on complex issues. Among the skills that are key to her success are the ability to listen, ask the right questions, analyze the answers, and develop creative solutions.
Martha became a principal in Campbell DeLong Resources, Inc. in 1992. Since then, she has designed and implemented both qualitative and quantitative research projects for a wide range of clients. All of these projects have been designed to help companies and organizations determine how best to design and market products or services by discovering underlying customers needs and motivations.
Clients include a mix of high technology clients with business-to-business and consumer-based products such as Xerox, Canon Computer Systems, Mallinckrodt, Collabria, and McDATA; clients with exclusively consumer-oriented products such as Standard Insurance and Marylhurst College; and governmental organizations such as the City of Portland's Bureaus of Water, Environmental Services, and Police, the City of Lake Oswego, and the Oregon Lottery. This mix has enabled Martha to stay on the cutting edge of technology, public issues, and consumer motivational research.
